Salary range: $72,000-$108,000
Job classification: Director; Full-time, exempt
The Data Analyst supports the organization’s mission by accessing and analyzing student-centered data. This position provides data-driven support to organization decision makers. The Data Analyst must be a critical thinker with strong communication skills and the ability to be an effective team player.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Provide strategic information analysis and decision support to support cross-departmental organization objectives.
- Support the collection, analysis, management and reporting of key student information by utilizing statistical and computational methods.
- Prepare data files to access student databases and external data sources.
- Prepare data visualizations of organizational data.
- Lead the design, creation, and administer student voice surveys in partnership with internal colleagues.
- Create analytic reports and presentations to communicate a holistic understanding of the AANHPI student experience.
- Ensure consistent data collection, management, and reporting of data across the organization and support departments in those processes.
Additional Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of data structures and experience with SAS or other database programming language.
- Experience using PowerBI, Tableau, or other BI/visualization tools.
- Experience with handling large quantities of data from multiple sources.
- Ability to cleanse, join, and manipulate data.
Qualifications and Education
- BA/BS’s Degree or equivalent experience in statistics, mathematics, computer science or related field.
- 6+ years of years of related work experience.
- Strong organizational skills, with a strong eye for detail, and a thoughtful, analytical approach to managing and completing complex tasks.
- Demonstrated ability to provide support and guidance with new systems, processes, and technology.
- Fluency in Microsoft Suite of Programs, with high competency in Excel.
- Experience with Salesforce.
