20th Anniversary Photo Gallery

We are filled with gratitude for the support of this community and thankful to all those who joined us at our 20th Anniversary Celebration at the Japanese American National Museum in Los Angeles on May 23rd. The event was a reflection of our journey over the past two decades – elevating and celebrating two decades of Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander scholars!

We were honored to have 2020 National Book Award Winner Charles Yu as our keynote speaker, immensely grateful for all the honorees’ contributions and lasting impact, proud to hear from our alumni Tammavalis Salanoa and to award our first-ever Scholar of the Year Brian Zhang. The evening also featured performances by two student groups from UCLA–Bruin Bhangra and Hui O’ Imiloa, who both showcased and celebrated our diverse cultural heritage with us.

Looking back at 20 years of progress, we’re excited about the future. We aim to continue empowering students and working towards a brighter future for all. We believe in the potential of our students and are committed to supporting them in their academic journey. Here’s to the years ahead, filled with learning, growth, and success.
