APIA Scholar welcomes corporations, foundations, community groups, and individuals who would like to make an investment in tomorrow’s future by creating a scholarship program with APIA Scholars. With the Asian and Pacific Islander American (APIA) populations predicted to reach 41 million by 2050 according to the U.S. Census, the APIA community as a source for future leaders who will excel in their career and serve as role models in their communities cannot be ignored.

What is a donor-advised fund?

A donor-advised fund (DAF) is a type of giving program that allows you to combine the most favorable tax benefits with the flexibility to easily support your favorite charities. An increasingly popular charitable vehicle, DAFs are an excellent way to both simplify your charitable giving and facilitate your strategic philanthropic goals.

How does it work?

  • Establish your DAF by making an irrevocable, tax-deductible donation to a public charity that sponsors a DAF program
  • Advise the investment allocation of the donated assets (any investment growth is tax-free)
  • Recommend grants to qualified public charities of your choice

If you have questions, please contact us at development@apiasf.org or for more information and to contribute, use the form above or visit DAFDirect.
