APIA Scholars on the State of the Union

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE–Washington, DC (February 7, 2023) APIA Scholars (Asian Pacific Islander American Scholars) thanks President Biden and Vice President Harris for their support of Asian American Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) students and their ongoing commitment to college affordability—particularly the significant increases to the Pell grant under their watch. Increasing Pell is critical for the success of AANHPI students, many of whom come from low-income backgrounds and are the first in their families to go to college. We look forward to continuing to work with the Administration and Congress to double the Pell grant to make college more affordable for the students we serve.
