APIA Scholars expresses our heartfelt condolences for the UNLV community, their families, and everyone impacted by the shooting. Amid this tragedy, we are working on a layered approach including support to individual Scholars as well as amplifying resources for those who are affected.
“We share a sense of shock and sadness for this violent news. This hits us profoundly as we have a number of Scholars enrolled in UNLV and we have been long-time partners with UNLV as an Asian American and Native American Pacific Islander-Serving Institution (AANAPISI). We have reached out to our Scholars and our Partners to provide aid. We are also highlighting resources that are available for those who are affected.” said Dr. Noël S. Harmon, the President and Executive Director of APIA Scholars.
