Peter Dinh (he/him), People Team Development Associate at UnitedHealth Group

Peter Dinh is currently in his People Business Partner rotation at UnitedHealth Group. As a “variety is the spice of life” person, he thrives in change and looks forward to experiencing five different Human Resources roles by the end of his leadership development rotation program.

Prior to his tenure at UnitedHealth Group, Peter honorably served the South Minneapolis Community as a Mental Health Practitioner. Through his active ear and upbeat energy, he motivated his clients to manage their mental health symptoms through developing healthy life habits. He specialized in working with Vietnamese adults and supporting them in navigating Eastern and Western models of Mental Health Management.

Though Peter has deep gratitude for the day-to-day impact he had in his client’s lives, he saw the systemic inequities in the healthcare system. He desired to make an impact on a broader scale. As a lifelong learner, he obtained his Master of Human Resources and Industrial Relations from the Carlson School of Management (University of Minnesota). With his deep experience working directly with patients and passion for helping others, he seeks to make the healthcare system work better for everyone through servant leadership and encouraging courageous conversations on matters related to mental health and building inclusive Teams at UnitedHealth Group.

In his free time, Peter swishes three pointers on the regular, dances in the street after watching Broadway performances and dreams of starting his Twin Cities Foodie Tik Tok….after his much-needed Orangetheory classes.
