Scholarships at APIA Scholars

APIA Scholars offers a range of scholarships to support students pursuing higher education. Throughout our last 20 years, we have strived to lower financial barriers for all students with a focus on those who are most in need.

The 2026-2027 APIA Scholarship application is now closed. Applicants for the 2026-2027 APIA Scholarship application have been notified of their status on April 15th. If you did not receive a notification, please follow up with Scholarships@apiascholars.org.

The 2027-2028 APIA Scholarship application cycle will open November 15, 2026.

About The APIA Scholarship Program

Scholarships at APIA Scholars are open to applications from all undergraduate students attending U.S. accredited colleges or universities. Scholarship amounts range from $2,500 one-year awards to $20,000 multi-year awards. APIA Scholars has a focus on supporting students who live at or below the poverty line and are in the first generation of their family to attend college. 

APIA Scholars offers a wide range of scholarship opportunities for students currently attending or planning to attend 2-year as well as 4-year colleges. We welcome students from all backgrounds to apply; please note that the selection process prioritizes those who demonstrate significant financial need. 

Over the last 20 years, we have awarded scholarships to students across all 50 states and the U.S.-affiliated Pacific Islands, including American Samoa, Guam, the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, the Republic of the Marshall Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, and the Republic of Palau.  

Eligibility Criteria

All applicants must:

  • Be able to demonstrate and communicate high-financial need for education, and
  • Be a citizen, national, or legal permanent resident of the United States, the Republic of the Marshall Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, or the Republic of Palau, and
  • Be enrolling/enrolled as an undergraduate degree student at a U.S.-accredited post-secondary institution for the upcoming academic year. 

Note: students pursuing an associate or bachelor’s degree are eligible to apply; students who have already earned a bachelor’s degree or higher are not eligible to apply.
