Creating Connections, Building Futures: Highlights from APIA Scholars’ Career Connections Virtual Networking Event

At APIA Scholars, we know that success in college is only the beginning of a larger journey. That’s why our commitment to student success doesn’t stop at college access — it evolves into helping Scholars transition from college to meaningful careers. As part of this mission, we recently wrapped up our Spring Career Support Series with an energizing and impactful event: our Career Connections x Speed Networking Night.

Held on April 22, 2025, this online speed networking event brought together Scholars, recent alumni, and professional partners for real-time conversations, career insights, and new connections. The format allowed for a series of fast-paced, 10-minute one-on-one conversations, designed to bring the energy and focus of in-person networking in a virtual space.

A Night of High-Impact Conversations

In just 90 minutes, we saw:

• 57 participants
• 117 total meetings held between Scholars and industry professionals
• 87% of matches received 5-star ratings from participants

The power of these conversations came through loud and clear in the feedback we received.

Scholars walked away feeling more confident, more informed, and more inspired:
